German Ducks Observed from a Prayer Window

German Ducks Observed from a Prayer Window
-personal reflections

Pilgrims, surrounded by vast mucky blue,
If there be One to chart their course,
then Who?
To the stream's edge, but away they go
Wonder how and when they'll know....

To search for ground, or should we tread?
Maybe sky lies up ahead.
But Oh, that we not mistake
true living
for hopeless dead!
New direction. Hope of guidance. Ripples flow.
Today these ducks travel,
though not in a row.

What is it like to freely swim,
Knowing we are steadfast in Him.
Soon...maybe we'll REALIZE...
That the One who holds their path has given sure Light to our eyes.

EL ROI - "God of Seeing" Hagar's name for God in Gen. 16:13; He is the One who opens our eyes.
JEHOVAH-JIREH - "The Lord Will Provide"; Gen. 22:14. From 'jireh' ('to see' or 'to provide' or 'to foresee', as a prophet). God always provides, adequate when the time comes.

Hosea 6:3 - Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear (He will speak like the coming of the Dawn!).

Psalm 111

...And Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. Rom. 5:5

Friends, I have rested today, through much prayer and fasting. Learning about these gifts. Then, tonight, surprised after prayer with a German girl who lived 10 years in Turkey to be invited to her International church plant in Heilbron, about 45 min. drive from Mosbach. So, I was thrilled, fine with missing tonight's session for this opportunity! The fellowship included Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and German believers as well as some non-believers (most are refugees). Music sung in all the languages, even English! Preaching from John 4: Living water for Samaritan woman...she was a great missionary to her people. When we receive this water, we are called to testify that others' thirst would be quenched and our hearts delighted! Struck by Jesus' words from vv.32 on.

Tomorrow's the last day of the conference. I am eager to get on the plane to continue "homeward", but also delighting in these last moments with new friends...Hope never disappoints...we will be HOME with our Light and Life soon, together.... "I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together..."-Jesus.

Asha, I'm so sorry for having not read your blog. I look forward to hearing about your life while you're so far away. When I think about you I hear so many echoes from the last five years, I hear prayers, I hear so much laughter, I think of Honduras and Zaventem and Colorado. God bless you on your journey, I'm sure you're either flying right now, or you've arrived and you're insanely tired. Again, God bless you. Thanks for your presence in my life. Be well and don't get the Asian bird flu and let me know if you find any yogurt in Singapore!!!!!!
